Cornerstones

Ages 4-11

As a classical education-centered homeschool community, we base our curriculum choices on such principals. During these younger years, we are focused on memorizing facts in the core subjects of Math, History, Timeline, Science, Geography, and English..

Each student is expected to present an age-appropriate topic to their class each week. This can range from their favorite toy when they are four to a detailed, heavily researched biography of their favorite author when they are eleven. Since each parent leads their children's education, you can decide how in-depth your child's presentation will be.

During our 24-week community schedule, we rotate between hands-on art classes, home economics, and music theory and appreciation.

For our final class in Cornerstones, each class rotates through a science experiment that coordinates with the theme of the rest of the learning.
